...Winter storm possible Sunday night into Tuesday morning...
.An arctic cold front will push through the northeastern Nebraska
Panhandle late Sunday afternoon. An approaching trough of low
pressure aloft, will spread snow into northwest Nebraska which
could become heavy at times Monday night. The threat for heavy
snow appears to be increasing, however the location of the heavy
snow is still somewhat uncertain.
...WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM SUNDAY EVENING THROUGH
TUESDAY MORNING...
* WHAT...Heavy mixed precipitation possible. Total snow
accumulations of 5 to 7 inches, with localized amounts up to 9
inches, and ice accumulations of a light glaze are possible.
* WHERE...Western Cherry County.
* WHEN...From Sunday evening through Tuesday morning.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Plan on difficult travel conditions.
Significant reductions in visibility are possible. The cold
wind chills as low as 30 below zero could cause frostbite on
exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes.
